Welcome to St. Jacobs Lutheran Church's Website in Glenville, PA. At St. Jacobs Lutheran Church we are rooted in the Gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ for all people. Our mission is to share that good news with one another and our neighbors.
We share Jesus’ love, by - growing deeper in God’s grace through worship, learning, and serving;
- encouraging and supporting one another in prayer, worship, and fellowship;
- sharing the love of Jesus through by sharing the good news and serving our neighbor in need.
While we cherish our heritage, we are looking to the future and the opportunities to serve Jesus Christ that will come our way. We are committed to leading all people, young and old, families and individuals, newcomers and old-timers, into a deeper relationship with our Savior and with one another. We thank you for looking us up, and hope this site is helpful. |

SUNDAY SCHOOL begins Sunday at 9:15 check it out. SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY is February 5. The youth will take a collection on that day after both services for the hungry locally and abroad. Look for a youth with a soup kettle to make your donation. Your support is greatly appreciated. HEALING SERVICE – February 7 – We will gather at 1:00 pm in the Sanctuary for a short healing service with Holy Communion. Following the service, we will share in fellowship and enjoy refreshments. NURSERY MURAL – On February 8 at 6:00 pm, there will be a meeting at church for anyone interested in helping with ideas or even actual painting of the mural in the Nursery. Local artist Pat Isch has volunteered to help us plan and paint the mural. She suggests that we do most of the base painting of the mural after she has drawn the mural on the walls, and she will donate the fine detailing of the mural. So put on your thinking caps and let’s come up with a good idea. CONGREGATIONAL MEETING scheduled for February 19 for the end of year reports and the Constitution. Please plan to attend. |
